LASAGNA 
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1/2 green pepper, minced
2 med. onions, minced
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. basil
1/4 tsp. oregano
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 tbsp. olive oil
1 tsp. sugar
1 sm. can tomato sauce
1 sm. can tomato paste
1 can mushroom pieces, drained
1 c. dry Burgundy wine
3 c. Mozzarella cheese, grated
1 sm. container ricotta cheese (optional)
8 to 10 lasagna noodles

Brown first 3 ingredients well and drain. Add the next 10 ingredients and simmer on low heat for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease a rectangular glass baking dish. Boil the noodles according to the package directions and drain well. Add the ricotta cheese to the sauce if desired. Layer the noodles, sauce, and Mozzarella cheese and repeat this. Bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees.
