APPLESAUCE BARS 
1 c. applesauce
3/4 c. raisins
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. chopped nuts

Bring raisins and applesauce to a boil, remove from heat, add butter and sugar. Blend well. Sift together dry ingredients. Add to applesauce mixture. Stir in nuts. Spread in greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool.

GLAZE:

1/3 c. butter
2 c. confectioners' sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 to 4 tbsp. hot water

Melt butter in saucepan, remove from heat. Blend in confectioners' sugar and vanilla. Add 1 tablespoon water at a time until spreading consistency is obtained. Frost cooled bars.
