CRUNCH TOP APPLESAUCE BARS 
3 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. ground cloves
1 c. soft butter
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. sweetened applesauce
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2/3 c. chopped nut meats
1 1/2 c. seedless raisins
3/4 c. corn flakes

Sift together flour, soda, salt, and spices. Blend 3/4 cup butter and 3/4 cup sugar. Stir in applesauce and vanilla. Add dry ingredients; mix well. Stir in 1/3 cup of nut meats and all raisins. Spread into greased pan.

Topping: Combine corn flakes with rest of sugar, nut meats, and butter. Sprinkle evenly over batter, pressing lightly. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. Cut into 2 x 1 1/2 inch bars. Serve alone or topped with whipped cream.
