MACAROON ALMOND BAKED PEARS 
1 (29 oz.) can pear halves, drained
1/4 c. orange liqueur
1/3 c. apricot preserves
1 c. crumbled soft macaroon cookies
1/4 c. sliced almonds
Whipped cream or Cool Whip (optional)

Arrange pear halves cut side up in 10 x 6 x 2 baking dish. Combine preserves and orange liqueur, pour over pear halves. Sprinkle macaroon crumbs and almonds on top. Bake in 350 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes. Serve warm with whipped cream for dessert; plain as a side dish for brunch.

DIETITIAN'S NOTE:

Enjoy in moderation! These delicious pears cannot be "lightened" without sacrificing their special flavor.
