MY GRANNY'S BREAD PUDDING | |
2 1/2 c. bread crumbs 4 eggs 2 c. milk 1/3 c. sugar (half brown, half white) 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. vanilla Dash salt Bread Crumbs - My Granny always has old dried biscuits on hand and bread heels no one would eat. Place bread crumbs in a buttered shallow baking dish. Mix eggs, milk, sugars, cinnamon, vanilla and salt. Pour mixture over bread. Bake at 350 degrees until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool slightly - if you can wait! This pudding is even better when completely cooled. My Granny Crouch always had a batch on top of her stove for all the grand kids to snack on. |
