MELT IN YOUR MOUTH SUGAR COOKIES 
1 c. sugar granulated
1 c. powdered sugar
2 sticks margairne
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. vegetable oil
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
2 tsp. salt

Cream sugars and butter. Mix in vanilla and eggs. Alternately add the oil and the dry ingredients. Chill dough.

Make into balls approximately size of a walnut. Press down onto cookie sheet using a flat glass dipped into sugar. Try to apply pressure evenly on the glass to insure uniform baking. Bake at 325 degrees until just delicately tan (approximately 6 to 7 minutes!) Watch carefully! Yield: approximately 10 dozen.
