CHOCOLATE SYRUP CAKE
1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1 lb. can Hershey's syrup
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix butter and sugar, add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Add half of the flour and syrup, beat, add remaining flour and syrup and vanilla. Bake for approximately 30 minutes at 350 degrees in an oblong cake pan.

ICING:

1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
1/3 c. evaporated milk
1/2 c. chocolate chips

Cook butter, sugar and milk rapidly for 1 minute, stir constantly to keep from burning. Remove from heat, add chocolate chips and beat until chips are melted. Pour on cake.

NOTE: For a "doubly sinful" cake, do this:

Prior to pouring the icing on the cake, punch several holes in the top of the cake with a fork. This allows the icing to seep into the cake. Allow the cake to cool, THEN, make a second batch of icing and pour on top of the cake.
