RHUBARB ROLL 
3 c. flour
2 tbsp. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
3 c. cut rhubarb
1 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
6 tbsp. shortening
2/3 to 3/4 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. sugar
2 1/2 water
Red food color

Make dough like biscuits. Roll out to 1/3 inch thick. Spread with 3 cups cut up fruit, 1 tablespoon butter, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Roll up like cinnamon rolls and cut 1 1/2 inch thick.

Make syrup in 9 by 12 pan of 2 cups sugar and 2 1/2 cups water. Cook 5 minutes, add red food coloring. Place rolls in hot syrup 1 1/2 inch apart. Bake 450 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.
