APRICOT BARS 
2/3 c. dried apricots
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. sugar
1 c. flour
2 eggs, well beaten
1 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
Salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. nuts, chopped

Cover apricots with water and boil 10 minutes; cool and chop. Mix butter, sugar and 1 cup flour until crumbly. Pack in 8 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for about 25 minutes. Mix other ingredients in usual manner. Add apricots and nuts. Spread over baked layer and bake 30 minutes more. Sprinkle top with powdered sugar.
