LAZY WAY BEEF BURGUNDY | |
2-3 lbs. beef cubes (1 to 1 1/2 inch) 1 lg. onion, sliced 1 c. burgundy or other dry red wine 2 (10 1/2 oz.) cans beef consomme 1/3 c. flour 1/3 c. fine dry bread crumbs Place beef cubes, onions, wine and consomme in a 2 1/2 quart casserole. Mix flour and bread crumbs together, add to casserole. Stir all ingredients together until crumb-flour mixture is completely blended. Cover. Bake at 325 degrees for 3 to 3 1/2 hours or until meat is tender, stirring once each hour. Serve over rice or noodles. |
