MUSHROOM & CHEESE CANAPES 
1/4 lb. mushrooms, sliced in tiny pieces
1 tbsp. butter
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 tsp. minced onion
Cream, if necessary, for spreadability
30 sm. rounds of bread

Cook mushrooms for a few minutes in the 1 tablespoon butter. Mix with cream cheese and onion. Blend, toast rounds of bread on 1 side. Spread the mushroom mixture on the untoasted side of bread. Refrigerate or freeze. Place rounds on ungreased cookie sheet when ready to serve and place under broiler until puffy and brown.
