MUSHROOM AND CHEESE CASSEROLE 
3 c. sliced mushrooms
1 1/2 c. fresh bread cut into 1/2 inch cubes (whole wheat best)
1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
4 tbsp. butter
Salt and pepper

Use well buttered casserole. Layer alternately mushrooms, salt and pepper, bread and cheese. Dot with butter. Repeat until all ingredients are used. Cover. Bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes.
