SAM'S VARIATION ON BAKED PECANS 
1 egg white
1 tablespoon cold water
1 pound pecan halves
1/2 stick butter
popcorn salt

In a bowl, mix egg white and water. Mix egg white and water until frothy but not stiff. Add pecan halves. Stir to coat. Add salt to taste. Stir to coat.

Place pecans on budget cookie sheet, one layer only. Slice butter into thin slices and place around pecans.

Bake for 1 hour at 225°F. Taste and add more salt, if desired. Break apart as they cool.
