BEEF CHEESE MAIN DISH
1-1 1/4 lbs. ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. green pepper
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
2 tsp. chili powder
3/4 tsp. garlic salt
2 (8 oz.) cans refrigerated buttermilk or country style biscuits
1 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
1/2 c. sour cream
1 egg, slightly beaten

In large frying pan, brown beef, onion and green pepper, drain. Stir in tomato sauce, chili powder and garlic salt. Simmer while preparing other ingredients.

Separate 1 can of biscuits into 10 - then divide each biscuit again. (So you have a total of 20 from each can). Spread biscuits over the bottom of a greased 9 x 11 inch pan.

Combine 1/2 cup cheese, all of sour cream and egg. Mix well.

Remove the meat mixture from heat. Stir in the sour cream mixture. Spoon 1/2 of the mixture over the biscuits. Open the 2nd can of biscuits and divide the same as the first can. Layer on top of the meat mixture. Add the remaining sauce over the 2nd layer of biscuits. Then sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of cheese over the top.

Bake at 375 degrees for 25-30 minutes, until cheese is golden brown.
