NO-PEEK BEEF CASSEROLE 
2 lbs. stew meat
1 env. onion soup mix
1 (10 1/2 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
1 (4 oz.) can mushroom pieces, drained
1/2 c. red wine

Cut stew meat into 1 inch pieces. Combine all ingredients in crockpot. Stir together well. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 12 hours. Serve over rice or noodles.

Note: 1) can also be cooked on high 5-6 hours; 2) stir in 1 tablespoon of cornstarch mixed with water to thicken sauce before serving.

I use cooking wine.
