RHUBARB TORTE 
2 c. flour
4 tbsp. sugar
1 c. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
2 2/3 c. sugar
5 tbsp. flour
2/3 c. condensed milk or cream
8 c. cut up rhubarb
6 egg yolks, beaten
6 egg whites
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar

Mix first 4 ingredients and put in large pan at least 9x13. Bake about 25 minutes until just light brown at 350 degrees.

Mix flour, sugar and cream into the beaten egg yolks and pour over the cut up rhubarb in large saucepan. Cook until thick. Pour over baked crust.

Beat the egg whites, sugar, cream of tartar to make meringue. Spread on top. Brown in hot oven.
