BUTTERMILK BISCUITS 
2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. cold shortening
1 c. cold buttermilk or sour milk

Mix together the dry ingredients. Cut in the shortening, then add milk and mix well. Roll out on floured board and ut with biscuit cutter. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes.
