MOM'S CHOCOLATE SHEET CAKE 
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 stick butter
1/2 c. Crisco
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. water
2 large eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c, pecans, chopped

Mix flour, sugar and salt in a bowl. In a sauce pan, bring butter, Crisco, salt and water to a boil. Add dry ingredients. Then add eggs, buttermilk, soda and vanilla.

Bake in greased and floured 9x13 pan. (I use two pans for thinner cake.) Pour frosting on hot cake.

Frosting:

2 tsp. cocoa
1 stick butter
6 tbsp. milk
1 box powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. pecans, chopped

In a sauce pan, bring to a boil the cocoa and butter. Add milk, sugar, vanilla and nuts. Pour over cake.
