1 box yellow cake mix
1 stick melted butter

Mix and save 3/4 cup of mixture. Put remaining mix in bottom of 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Spread evenly. Bake 15 minutes in 350 degree oven.

Prepare pecan pie recipe and add 3/4 cup mixture to recipe. Pour over baked mixture. Cook in 350 degree oven until done, about 30 to 45 minutes.

MY PECAN PIE RECIPE:

3 eggs
1/4 c. sugar
1 c. Karo syrup (dark)
4 tbsp. melted butter
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans
