QUICK STIR-FRY | |
2 c. prepared white rice 1/2 c. water 1 tsp. corn starch 1/8 tsp. ground ginger 4 Steak-Umm steaks 1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen Chinese style vegetables with sauce 2 tbsp. soy sauce 1/4 tsp. garlic powder Prepare rice according to package directions. While rice is cooking, combine water, soy sauce, corn starch, garlic powder and ground ingredients in a small bowl. Set aside. Cut or bread Steak-Umm slices into 8 to 10 pieces each. Place in lightly oiled skillet (large size) preheated to 350 degrees. Stir continuously until Steak-Umm just turns brown. Add frozen vegetables. Cover and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir soy sauce mixture and add to skillet. Cook and stir constantly until mixture thickens (approximately 2 minutes). Serve over rice. |
