4 slices bacon, halved 2-2 1/2 lb. chicken, cut up 1 can (16 oz.) sm. whole onions, drained 1 env. Lipton beef flavored mushroom soup mix 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. thyme 1 clove garlic, finely chopped 1 1/2 c. dry red wine 1/2 c. water In large skillet, cook bacon until crisp, remove and reserve. In drippings, brown chicken. Add bacon, onions and Lipton beef flavored mushroom soup mix, salt, thyme and garlic blended with wine and water. Simmer, stirring occasionally, 45 minutes or until chicken is tender. |
