DELICIOUS SHEPHERD'S PIE 
2 lbs. ground chuck
1 lg. onion, chopped
1 sm. green pepper, seeded and chopped (optional)
2 cans whole kernel corn, drained
1 can tomato soup
2 tbsp. sugar
1 can water
Prepared mashed potatoes, about 3 cups
Salt and pepper to taste

Brown meat and onions; and drain. Add green pepper, corn, tomato soup, the 1 can of water, sugar and salt and pepper to taste. Simmer about 1 hour, stirring often. Prepare mashed potatoes while this mixture is simmering. Pour meat mixture into a shallow baking dish and cover with mashed potatoes. Bake until potatoes are golden brown (at 350 degrees).
