LEMON CHEESECAKE 
1 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 c. flour
2/3 c. sweet milk
1 tsp. baking powder
5 eggs (save 2 yolks for filling)

Cream butter, sugar. Add eggs. Add flour with sifted ingredients and milk. Bake batter quickly in layer pans. This is an old recipe before electric beaters or electric stoves.

FILLING:

2 lg. lemons, juice
1 c. sugar
1 tbsp. butter
2 egg yolks

Mix butter and sugar, add lemon juice, then eggs. Cook over fire until well jellied, then place between layers.
