MILDRED'S ORIGINAL HOMEMADE
VEGETABLE SOUP
 
3-4 lb. chuck roast, cut in sm. pieces
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
1 1/2 lb. bag mixed vegetables (or 2 boxes frozen)
1 med. bell pepper, chopped
2 med. onions, chopped
Green onions, finely chopped (opt.)
1 c. celery, finely chopped
1 qt. tomato juice
1 pt. stewed tomatoes, cut up
1 (7 oz.) bag Ronco tasty soup mix
1/2 tsp. parsley flakes

Season meat with garlic salt and seasoned salt. Add 2 cups water and cook about 35 minutes in a pressure cooker. (If you are not using a pressure cooker, cook until tender.) Add rest of ingredients and cook about 1 hour. A few ears of corn on the cob add flavor to soup.
