BISHOP'S BREAD 
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 tsp. double acting baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
2/3 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 c. coarsely chopped walnuts
1 c. coarsely snipped pitted dates
1 c. candied cherries, halved
3 eggs
1 c. granulated sugar

Grease 10x5x3 inch loaf pan. Line BOTTOM ONLY with 3 layers of waxed paper. Preheat oven at 325 degrees. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together. Stir in chocolate chips, walnuts, dates and cherries until well coated with flour.

In large bowl with electric mixer, at medium speed, beat eggs well. Then gradually beat in sugar. Then fold in flour mixture and pour into pan. Bake approximately 1 1/2 hours. Cool in pan, remove from pan, remove wax paper, wrap in foil and store at room temperature. Serve sliced the next day.

HINT: Freezes well.
