2 1/4 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
Cherries for decoration
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 c. chopped pecans
1 c. chopped dates
1/3 c. chopped cherries
2 1/2 c. corn flakes, crushed

Sift together dry ingredients. Combine shortening and sugar, cream well. Blend in dry ingredients, mix well. Add pecans, dates, chopped cherries, mix well. Shape into balls using a level tablespoonful of dough for each cookie. Roll each ball of dough in corn flakes. Place on greased baking sheet.
