PECAN CHEWIES 
1 lb. light brown sugar
1 stick butter
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
1 c. chopped pecans

Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Add flour, pecans and vanilla. Put in greased 13 x 9-inch pan.

Bake at 350°F for 30 to 35 minutes. Cut into squares while still warm.
