MARY COLANDER BEAN SOUP 
1 lb. sm. white beans, soak overnight

Fill Dutch oven with fresh water. 2 thin sliced celery 1/2 lb. chopped bacon 2 grated carrots 2 chopped onions 1/2 c. chopped parsley 1 bay leaf Salt Pepper Garlic powder Season salt 1 sm. can tomatoes, chopped (with juice)

As the liquid cooks down, fill 1 more time with fresh water and cook down again until beans are tender. Add 1 potato, cut very small. Simmer until tender and desired thickness. Yummy!
