ORIENTAL CASSEROLE 
1 lb. ground beef
1/3 c. celery, chopped
1/3 c. onion, chopped
1/4 c. green pepper, chopped
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
1/4 c. soy sauce
1 (16 oz.) can chop suey vegetables
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas
Chow mein noodles

In skillet, cook ground beef, celery, onion and green pepper until meat is browned. Drain. Add 1 cup water and bring to boil. Combine cornstarch, sugar and ginger; blend in 2 tablespoons water and soy sauce. Add to beef mixture; cook and stir until thick and bubbly. Stir in vegetables, drained. Add peas. Pour into 2-quart baking dish. (You can freeze dish at this point.) Bake at 400 degrees for 45 minutes (1 1/4 hours if frozen). Uncover and bake 15 minutes more. Top with chow mein noodles for serving.
