GRANDMA'S HOT ROLLS
4 pkg. yeast
1 qt. lukewarm water
1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. salt
3 eggs
3/4 c. melted shortening
9 1/2 c. flour

Dissolve yeast in water, add sugar, salt, eggs and melted shortening. Stir in 7 cups of the flour. Mix. Turn out onto floured board. Knead in the remaining 2 1/2 cups of flour. Keep kneading until you can punch it with a finger and it will spring back.

Put in greased bowl and let double in size, needs to be a warm spot. Knead down and make into rolls. Set rolls aside and let double in size again. Bake at 350 degrees until golden brown, about 20 minutes. Makes about 3 dozen.
