1/2 stick butter
1 c. oatmeal
2/3 c. sugar
1 beaten egg
1 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In small saucepan melt butter. Add remaining ingredients, blend well. Drop by 1/2 teaspoonful 4" apart on greased baking sheet. Bake 4 to 8 minutes, until edges are light brown. Let cool several minutes, then move to wooden board to harden and finish cooling.
