ITALIAN PINTO BEAN SOUP 
1 pkg. dry pinto beans
1/2 head cabbage
1/2 pt. shell macaroni
3 cloves garlic
1 carrot, diced very sm.
3 ribs celery, diced very sm.
1 bell pepper, diced very sm.
1 med. onion, diced very sm.
Thyme to taste
Parsley to taste
Sweet basil to taste
Oregano to taste
Marjoram to taste
Garlic powder to taste
Salt and pepper to taste

Add water to cover beans. Bring to boil and set for 45 minutes. Add herbs to diced vegetables and saute in 1 tablespoon oil. Bring to boil the beans and vegetable mixture. Add water, if necessary. Cook over medium heat. When done, pour off liquid and save. Mash half of beans. Pour liquid back. Add macaroni and cabbage. When eat, eat and enjoy!
