APPLE MINCE CRISP | |
4 c. sliced, pared apples 1 1/2 c. mincemeat 1/3 c. Sauterne 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar (light) 3/4 c. all purpose flour, sifted 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. mace 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 c. soft butter Spread half apples on bottom of a greased shallow baking dish; spread mincemeat over apples; top with remaining apple slices. Pour wine over all. Combine sugar, flour, spices and salt. Mix in butter until mixture is crumbly; spread evenly over top; pat down. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until apples are tender. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream. Serves 4 to 6. |
