APPLE CRISP 
5 c. cored, peeled, apple slices
1 c. sugar or 1/2 c. honey
1/2 c. butter
1 c. quick cooking rolled oats
1/2 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. chopped walnuts or almonds, optional
1/4 c. raisins, optional

Sprinkle of cinnamon and nutmeg over apples.

1. Combine apple slices and 1 cup sugar in bottom of a 2 quart casserole.

2. Mix butter, oats, flour, brown sugar and walnuts.

3. Sprinkle butter-oat mixture over apple combination. Bake in preheated 350 degree F. oven for about an hour until topping is browned and apples are tender.
