1 c. butter
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. granulated sugar (for coating)
1 c. oil
2 eggs
4 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. pecans, if desired

Mix all ingredients. Chill and roll into small balls, drop into granulated sugar. Place on greased cookie sheet and press with a fork. Bake 12 minutes at 350 degrees. Makes 48 to 50 cookies.
