FRANKFURTER BEAN SOUP 
3/4 c. dry lima beans
4 c. water
1 med. onion, chopped
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 lb. frankfurters, chopped

Wash and drain beans. Put beans and water in large pan and bring to a boil. Boil 2 minutes and then remove from heat. Cover and let stand for 1 hour. Add onion and salt to the beans. Cover and boil gently about 1 hour until beans are tender. Mash beans slightly. Lightly brown frankfurters in a frying pan. Add to soup.
