CREAM CHEESE BROWNIES 
Combine:

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. almond extract

Melt and cool:

2 sq. unsweetened chocolate
1/2 c. butter

Beat:

2 eggs
1 c. sugar, chocolate mixture

Add:

3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Pour half chocolate mixture into greased 8 x 8 x 2 inch pan. Spread with cream cheese mixture. Then top with remaining chocolate mixture. Top with almonds. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
