PEANUT BUTTER CHOCOLATE COOKIES 
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. crunchy peanut butter
1/3 c. milk
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 c. sugar
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. cocoa
Dash of salt

In large bowl, cream shortening, sugar and peanut butter together. Beat in eggs. Stir in milk and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients together and stir in. Dough may be chilled if desired.

Using about 1 heaping teaspoon for each, shape dough into balls and place on ungreased cookie sheets. Flatten with fork, criss-cross or use the bottom of a glass dipped in sugar. Bake at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Do not overbake. This is a soft cookie.
