APPLE - JUICE - BATTER ONION RINGS | |
1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour 1 c. apple juice 1 tsp. salt 3/4 tsp. tsp. pepper 1 egg Salad oil 2 lg. onions 3/4 tsp. baking powder In medium bowl, mix flour, apple juice, salt, baking powder, pepper, egg, and 1 tablespoon salad oil until flour is moistened. Heat 3/4 inch salad oil to 350 degrees. While oil is heating, slice onions 1/4 inch thick. Separate onion slices into rings. Dip onion rings, a few at a time, into batter. Cook 3 to 5 minutes until golden brown. Makes 8 servings. About 160 calories per serving. |
