CANDIED YAMS 
3-5 lb. sweet potatoes
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 stick butter
3 c. water

Peel and slice potatoes into 1 inch slices. Cook sugar, butter, and water until starts to thicken. Pour over sliced potatoes. Cook in deep casserole dish. Bake at 350 degrees until potatoes are done.
