APPLESAUCE RAISIN PIE
1 (15 oz.) jar applesauce
1 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter
dash of salt
1 cup golden raisins
4 eggs
1 unbaked 10-inch pie shell

CRUMB TOPPING:

3/4 cup buttermilk biscuit mix (Bisquick)
1/4 cup granulated sugar

In a 2-quart saucepan, turn the applesauce and brown sugar. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes; removed from heat. Add 1/4 cup butter and the salt; stir until butter is melted. Stir in raisins. Cool to room temperature.

In a small mixing bowl, beat the eggs well; add to cooled applesauce mixture and blend well. Pour into pie shell. Bake in a preheated 375°F oven on rack below center, for 20 minutes. Add crumb mixture. Bake 20 minutes more.
