ALMOND-COCONUT BARS 
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. sifted powdered sugar
1/2 c. shredded coconut
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter

Stir together flour, powdered sugar, coconut, and salt. Cut in butter until crumbly. Pat into ungreased 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.

1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
1 pkg. coconut-almond frosting mix (for 2 layer cake)
1/2 c. chopped almonds

Immediately top with chocolate pieces; spread when soft. Prepare frosting mix following package directions. Stir in almonds; carefully spread over chocolate layer. Bake at 375 degrees until golden, about 18 minutes. Cool; cut into bars. Makes 48.
