LEISHA'S EASY BBQ RIBS | |
2 lb. ribs (bone-in or boneless) pork or beef 1 (17.5 oz.) bottle BBQ sauce (any flavor) 8 medium peppers (like jalapenos or cayenne) optional 1 small onion 1 (15 oz.) can applesauce seasonings, to taste If using (bone-in) ribs, boil rapidly for 1 hour. Preheat oven to 300°F. Dice onion and peppers and place in a medium sauce pan. Add BBQ sauce and apple sauce to pan. Add any seasonings like garlic powder and pepper. Simmer and stir over low heat until mixture is hot but not quite boiling. Place ribs in a roasting pan and pour BBQ mixture over ribs. Cover and place in oven. Cook for 2 1/2 hours. If you don't a have a roasting pan, you can use a cake pan or large casserole dish lined with foil; add ribs and cover with foil. Variations: You can sub the applesauce for 1 cup honey or maple syrup. For a kick you can add 1/2 cup mustard. Submitted by: Leisha N. (Rollie) |
