CHILI BEANS 
1 lb. pink beans
4 c. water
1 lg. onion
2 cans (8 oz.) tomato sauce
2 cloves mashed garlic
2 tsp. chili powder
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cumin
Ham hock

Soak beans overnight or bring to a boil beans covered with water; boil 5 minutes and allow to stand for 1 hour. Pour off water in either method. Combine remaining ingredients and cook until beans are tender. This takes 3 or 4 hours.
