NEVER FAIL MERINGUE 
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. cold water
3 egg whites
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
6 tbsp. sugar

Mix first 3 ingredients well and cook until clear; set aside to cool. Beat next 3 ingredients. Add sugar and beat gradually, then slowly add cornstarch mixture. Beat well. Put on dessert and bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
