STRAWBERRY PIE FILLING AND CRUST 
1 cup sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1 cup water
1 qt. berries
2 tbsp. light Karo syrup
3 tbsp. strawberry Jello
Red food color
Pinch of salt

Mix sugar, cornstarch, water, Karo, and salt. While hot, add Jello and color. Cool. Put berries in baked shell. Pour mixture over berries. Top with whipped cream.

CRUST:

1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 cup flour

Cream butter and powdered sugar; blend in flour. Pat on bottom and sides of 10-inch pie pan and prick with fork.

Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
