MEATLOAF MIXTURE 
2 lbs. ground meat (made up of 1 lb. ground beef, 1/2 lb. ground pork, and 1/2 lb. ground veal)
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 c. catsup
1/2 c. milk
1 to 1 1/2 c. bread crumbs
2 eggs, beaten
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1 onion, peeled and diced very fine

Preheat oven to 400 degrees for 10 minutes, then set at 350 degrees to finish baking.

Combine ground meat with salt and pepper; set aside. Combine catsup, milk, bread crumbs, eggs, brown sugar and diced onion in a large mixing bowl. Mix well.

Add meat to egg mixture; blend and shape into a loaf. Place in a baking dish and bake in hot oven for 10 minutes. Then turn oven down to 350 degrees and bake for 1 hour 10 minutes. Serves 8.
