BANANA CAKE 
CAKE:

1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs, separated
1 c. mashed bananas
1/2 c. sour milk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
2 c. flour

CORNSTARCH FROSTING:

2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 pt. milk
Mashed bananas

Mix egg yolks and sugar. Add remaining ingredients, except egg whites; mix thoroughly. Beat egg whites and fold into batter. Pour batter into 2 (8x8 inch) pans and bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes or until done.

For frosting, cook cornstarch and milk until thick. When cooled, add mashed bananas. Spread frosting over cooled cake.
