BANANA CHOCOLATE CHIP BARS 
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. butter
2/3 c. granulated sugar
2/3 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 c. mashed ripe bananas (about 2 med.)
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Cream together butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla and egg. Blend in banana, then flour mixture. Stir in chocolate pieces. Spread evenly in greased and floured 10 1/2 x 15 1/2 inch pan. Bake 20 to 25 minutes. Use toothpick test. Cool in pan on wire rack 15 minutes. Cut into bars; cool completely on rack. Store in tightly covered container. 30 bars.
