OVEN STEW CASSEROLE 
2 lbs. stewing beef, cut up
1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. oil
1 onion, cut up
5 carrots, cut in 1 inch pieces
3 potatoes, pared & cut in 1 inch cubes
1 (14 1/2 oz.) can whole tomatoes
1 1/2 c. water
1 pkg. Lipton dry onion soup

Coat beef with flour, salt and pepper. Toss with oil in 3 quart casserole. Bake uncovered at 400 degrees for 30 minutes. Stir once. Add remaining ingredients. Cover and bake at 375 degrees for 2 hours or until tender.
